QualificationsThe minimum and preferred requirements are listed below. While these requirements outline the minimum qualifications, the County reserves the right to select applicants for further consideration who demonstrate the best qualifications match for the job. Education and Experience:Minimum: Equivalent to graduation from high school and one (1) year of responsible office support experience involving the preparation and processing of legal documents for court action.
Preferred: Completion of 60 semester or 90 quarter units from an accredited college with major coursework in business, public administration, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience as a legal secretary in a legal office or court setting.
Licensing and Certification:- Ability to obtain a valid California Class C driver's license within ten (10) days of employment; may be required to maintain the license throughout employment at the discretion of the Appointing Authority.
- Typing Certificate: Minimum net of 40 wpm. Typing certificate must reflect results from a five (5) minute test with at least the required net wpm.
Special Requirements:- Successfully complete an extensive and thorough background investigation, including Live Scan fingerprinting.
- Required to perform disaster service activities pursuant to Government Code 3100-3109.
