About This Position

The Video Production Specialist serves as a creative producer on ATXN’s award-winning media team. This role produces multimedia content by generating story ideas, conducting interviews, writing scripts, recording and editing video, and publishing finished pieces. Collaboration with producers, engineers, IT staff, and city departments is essential to create impactful content for training, communications, education, social media, and public information.

Job Description:

Purpose:

Under general supervision, performs technical work in the production of creative and non-creative video and audio presentations for training, communications, and public information.

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:

Compensation:

$27.77 - $33.95/hour

Hours:

Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Hours will vary based on operational needs.

This position may require occasional work on nights, weekends and holidays, and will be eligible for teleworking.

Driving Requirement:

This position requires a Class C Driver’s License or the ability to acquire one by your hire date. External New Hires must meet the City of Austin's Driver Record Evaluation (DRE) Requisite to be considered for a driving position, applicants cannot have more than three moving violations or a total of six Driver Record Evaluation points within a period of thirty-six (36) months.
