ABOUT THE POSITION

The Clark County Recorder’s Office is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Departmental Systems Administrator (DSA) position. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for the ongoing operations of the department's computer systems. This position also provides assistance with the acquisition, installation, maintenance, training, support and consultation of the department's computer hardware, software, operating systems and related equipment. The DSA provides support for recordation applications, manages records in the SQL database, writes queries, assists with stored procedures and assists in development of Crystal Reports, assists in resolving financials, audit and customer service issues. Candidate will be a part of the Recorder’s Office Information Technology Division.

This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Human Resources.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field and four (4) years of full-time professional level experience in systems analysis and design and hardware and software acquisition in a departmental environment, including some lead or supervisory experience. Additional experience in systems analysis and/or programming may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two (2) years. An advanced degree in appropriate field preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard office equipment, stamina to remain seated and maintain concentration for an extended period of time, vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. Must be capable of traveling to and from various County locations to attend meetings and other off-site events.
