- Contra Costa Regional Medical Center: This position will involve supervisory oversight of mental health social services located at CCRMC, including Youth Stabilization Unit.
- Behavioral Health: This position manages the daily operations and staff at BH Connect Clinic and BH Peer Respite, including hiring, training, and providing clinical and peer supervision. You will ensure the facility meets all Medi-Cal and regulatory standards while overseeing the non-clinical performance of medical personnel. Additionally, the role involves coordinating care, analyzing quality data, and occasionally providing direct support to clients and families.
- Community Response: Contra Costa Health’s Community Response Division (CRD) provides countywide crisis response and outreach services that connect people to help when and where they need it most. Through the Anyone, Anywhere, Anytime (A3) Crisis Response Program, trained behavioral health professionals are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to mental health crises, provide de-escalation support, and connect individuals to appropriate care and services. CRD also operates the Coordinated Outreach, Referral, and Engagement (CORE) Outreach Program, which builds relationships with people experiencing homelessness and helps connect them to housing, health care, benefits, and other essential resources.

What you will typically be responsible for: - May provide direct supervision and support to clinical and non-clinical staff, including mental health therapists, nurses, behavioral health specialists, and peer support specialists.
- Coordinate and monitor daily program operations to ensure timely assessments, interventions, and safe discharge planning.
- Conduct clinical case consultations and provide oversight of treatment planning and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Medi-Cal, licensing, and accreditation requirements, including documentation, billing, and quality assurance.
- Foster a youth and family-centered approach to care that emphasizes safety, dignity, and resilience.
- Facilitate coordination and communication with referring agencies, inpatient facilities, mobile crisis teams, and community-based programs to ensure continuity of care.
- Support staff development through coaching, performance evaluations, and training on best practices in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.
- Manage staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and compliance with labor agreements.
- Provide staff support to county-wide suicide prevention efforts.
- Support stakeholder participation events and activities.
- Gather and analyze date, write reports, and correspondence.
- Facilitate linkage between community-based organization and mental health care.
- Support mandated systems transformation between Mental Health Services Act and Behavioral Health Services Act.
- Conduct program and fiscal review.

Minimum QualificationsLicenses Required:1) Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicles Operator's License. Out of state valid motor vehicle operator's license will be accepted during the application process.
2) Possession of one of the following professional required licenses. Either:
a. A valid license issued by the State of California, Board of Behavioral Sciences as a:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC); or
b. A valid license as a Psychologist issued by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Psychology.
Applicants are required to attach a copy of their license to their application. 3) Education: Possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major in psychology, social work, counseling or a closely related field.
4) Experience: Two (2) years of full-time post-licensure experience, or its equivalent, providing direct treatment services to mental health clients.
Selection Process Application Filing and Evaluation: Applicants will be required to complete a supplemental questionnaire at the time of application. Applications will be evaluated to determine which candidates will move forward in the next phase of the recruitment process.
Training & Experience Evaluation: Candidates who clearly demonstrate that they possess the minimum qualifications will have their training and experience evaluated. The responses to the supplemental questions, at the time of filing, will be evaluated to determine each candidate's relevant education, training, and/or experience as presented on the application and supplemental questionnaire. (Weighted 100%)
The Human Resources Department may change the examination steps noted above in accordance with the Personnel Management Regulations and accepted selection practices.
