Position DescriptionInspects work for conformance to standard trade practices. Repairs, installs, and maintains HVAC systems, machinery, and equipment. May directly supervise HVAC mechanics. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Major/Essential Functions- Service and repair: air handling units, pumping equipment, pneumatic and electronic controls (i.e.) valves, damper, variable frequency drives, building automation system, thermostats, and humidistats.
- Makes sure the above is operating effectively and efficiently.
- Other assignments as deemed necessary by supervision and/or Sr. Director.
- Assumes lead role in the absence of the foreman, in regard to HVAC systems.
Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED. Six years of heating and air-conditioning experience. May be required to maintain registrations, professional licenses and/or certifications from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (or other state) to perform the duties of the position. Must be willing to pursue additional certifications if necessary.
