Join one of the nation’s largest wastewater treatment agencies and play a pivotal role in securing and managing funding for the Wastewater Treatment Division (WTD). As the division’s Grants Administrator, you will guide the development, oversight, and financial stewardship of major federal and state grants that support WTD’s capital program.

You’ll work alongside finance staff, project managers, and state & federal agencies to obtain funding for WTD’s critical infrastructure investments, while ensuring funding efficiency, compliance, and alignment with WTD’s mission to safeguard water quality, protect community resources, and advance equity across the region.

About The Role:
The Grants Administrator leads and administers state & federal loans and grants, compliance, and financial reporting activities for the Wastewater Treatment Division’s capital and infrastructure programs. In this role, you will guide the development, submission, and monitoring of major loans and grant applications, ensure alignment with federal and state requirements, and serve as the County’s representative with multiple state and federal grantor agencies.

You will also develop internal processes, conduct funding analyses, negotiate agreements, and provide leadership to project teams navigating funding cycles, amendments, schedule & scope changes, and reimbursement processes. Your work directly strengthens WTD’s mission to responsibly manage public resources, support environmental stewardship, and ensure equitable delivery of essential wastewater services across the region.

About The Team:

The Finance Section of the Wastewater Treatment Division provides financial management, planning, and strategic support for one of the region’s largest and most complex utilities. The Debt Team works collaboratively across internal and external partners to manage $4+ billion of debt that funds critical infrastructure. With a $14+ billion planned capital investment in the next decade, the Debt Team will work closely with WTD leadership to provide low-cost funding solutions to fund the capital program.
