Senior Compensation Analyst
Description
Overview The Senior Compensation Analyst will provide comprehensive, professional Human Resources support to internal and external customers by ensuring compliance with City policies and procedures, administer compensation plan, process personnel and position changes, conduct job analyses, evaluate and develop job descriptions, maintain position control, conduct market surveys, and apply market research data.
Responsibilities • Provide guidance and support to City departments on policy and procedural matters concerning all HR matters with specific focus on classification and compensation areas
• Administer compensation plan, process personnel changes and position changes
• Maintain position control in conjunction with individual departments and budget
• Review requests for reclassification, pay equity and pay adjustments, and process increases
• Conduct job analyses, evaluate, and develop job descriptions
• Approve and confirm entries in HRIS
• Verify and approve requisitions in HRIS
• Research issues to support HR functions
• Conduct market analysis pay studies to determine labor market competitiveness
• Report data findings at a professional work level
• Conduct salary surveys and answer requests for salary surveys
• Respond to open records requests as needed
• Ensure compliance with Human Resources policies
• Assist in city wide training programs as related to Compensation and Classification
• Work on special projects, conduct surveys and provide analytical reports as needed
• May be asked to perform other duties as assigned
Position Type and Typical Hours of Work • Exempt - Full-Time
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is a schedule requirement
• In the event of an emergency, employees are required to work to provide for the safety and well-being of the public, including the delivery and restoration of vital services.

Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree (BA/ BS)
• Four (4) years of experience
Licenses and Certifications Required • A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Basis of Rating A recruitment consultant will evaluate all applications against the posted qualifications and may request additional information. The city may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
