Summary
Principal/Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Setting up and maintaining traffic control devices such as cones, signs, barricades, and flagging materials to redirect traffic.
- Directing traffic using hand signals, flags, or other approved methods to ensure the safe passage of vehicles and pedestrians.
- Monitoring traffic flow and adjusting traffic control measures as necessary to maintain a smooth and safe traffic pattern.
- Providing clear and concise instructions to drivers to navigate through the work zone and avoid potential hazards.
- Communicating with construction crews, law enforcement, and other personnel to coordinate traffic control efforts and ensure everyone's safety. Provide ongoing safety, productivity, and professional growth training.
- Reporting any traffic incidents, accidents, or unsafe conditions to appropriate authorities or supervisors.
- Assisting with the maintenance and repair of traffic control devices when needed.
- Following all applicable safety regulations and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
- Maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with the public, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Attending training sessions and staying up-to-date with the latest traffic control techniques and regulations.
- Report on daily base to the Forman with all the paperwork required (trucks number, time in and out, check list ….)
Qualifications
Required
|
- Must be committed to “Guaranteed Safety” in all decisions and actions
- Must have a valid Class C Driver's License
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass full-panel drug screen
Preferred
- Previous Traffic Control Technician Experience in the Tree Care Industry
- Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish
