The intent of this applicant pool is to create a list of qualified applicants who are interested in temporary employment as a Bus Operator at Butte College. Temporary non-regular employment applications are accepted on a continuous basis until the position(s) are filled.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: Butte College operates one of the largest community college student-funded transportation services in California. Bus operators support student education with bus transportation to and from campus, on class related educational field trips, and to athletic events.
Work ScheduleWork schedules may vary dependent upon District need and may include work on weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts. A typical work schedule may be Monday through Thursday, 6:15 am to 4:45 pm. This position works August through the end of May.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Graduate or General Educational Development (GED); AND
- Possess a valid Class A or B commercial driver’s license with school bus, passenger and air brake endorsements issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles; AND
- Possess a valid school bus driver’s certificate (Form DL-45); If your certificate has restrictions 2, 3 or 4 you will not qualify for this position. If your certificate has restriction 6, you are required to provide a valid First Aid/CPR certification; AND
- Possess a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC); AND
- As a requirement and a condition of employment, applicants must pass a pre-employment physical, including a drug and alcohol test and any testing as required by the Federal Drug and Alcohol testing program.
