COO - OPS - Institutions OperationsCorrectional Programs Director I (NS)This position is located at Avery Mitchell Correctional Institution in Spruce Pine, NC a medium custody male facility. This position reports directly to the Associate Warden of Programs, and is responsible for the following duties, including but not limited to:Direct programs for the rehabilitation of offenders in the prison system.Administer programs for offenders where the primary programs areas are offender classification; correctional programs (including work release, incentive wage, educational/vocational, volunteer programs, religion, cognitive-based interventions, and recreation); and correctional supportive counseling.Coordinate programs with custody and other facility staff.Supervise subordinate personnel responsible for implementation, development, and maintenance of programs.The State of North Carolina offers a comprehensive benefits package including:Health Insurance optionsRetirement PlansNCFlex Supplemental BenefitsPaid Vacation, Sick, and Community Service LeavePaid Parental LeaveApplicants must complete the application in full.
