Facilitates the implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products. Liaises with Customers and Quality engineering to develop formal written reports and recommend corrective actions. Identifies trends in discrepancies and collaborates with process owners on the refinement and optimization of business processes. Oversees testing department activities and work of inspectors. Reviews, approves, and controls work order flow tags. Develops inspection techniques, tools, and supplemental inspection instructions in support of standards, methods and procedures. Participates in supplier corrective and preventative actions, including customer escapes, process nonconformities, supplier corrective actions, customer and change control, and material review board meetings. Support Fabrication and Integration of Space Flight Hardware and Software: tasks include Approve Work Authorization Documents; Support material review and corrective action system and Standard repair development and authorization; Evaluate use of sampling methods, key characteristic data collection, and monitoring once the process, documentation, and personnel are stable; Continually evaluate contract performance, cost control, and customer satisfaction Support Acceptance Test and Qualification Test Procedure (ATP/QTP) failures; Ensure approved test procedures, Certificates of Conformance or other contractually acceptable sell-off methods; Identify required quality records, including preparation and maintenance;Strong Root analysis skills and written communication skillsEnsure team understanding of Quality procedures, requirements via briefings; Conduct program process audits as required.Basic Qualifications:6 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in an Engineering field or equivalentPlease see our website for more job openings
