Summary
Job Summary: Port Aransas FerryProvide security services at the Port Aransas Ferry Terminal while maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. This is a public-facing role ideal for dependable, alert professionals who enjoyworking with people and responding to a variety of situations. Officers will work closely with customers, employees, contractors, and local emergency services.
Responsibilities
- Control entrances and pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
- Patrol buildings, grounds, parking areas, and property perimeters.
- Maintain a fixed post or conduct patrols as assigned.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, access-control systems, and other security equipment.
- Identify, respond to, and report suspicious activity, accidents, criminal activity, and safety concerns.
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents according to established procedures.
- Escort authorized personnel, contractors, materials, and equipment as required.
- Inspect for security, fire, and life-safety hazards.
- Maintain awareness of activity in the assigned area.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service.
- Complete Daily Activity Reports, logbook entries, incident reports, and other required documentation.
- Maintain knowledge of current post orders, emergency procedures, and site requirements.
- Operate security and life-safety equipment as assigned.
- Report security issues and recommended safety improvements to the Security Supervisor.
- Perform special assignments and other duties as directed.
