Join Our Team!The Merrimack County Department of Corrections serves the community and its criminal justice system by providing security, supervision, and assistance to persons remanded to our custody. Our policy is to meet or exceed the standards set by the American Correctional Association, the National Commission of Correctional Healthcare, the New Hampshire Association of Counties, and the Merrimack County Board of Commissioners.Our Clinicians provide substance use disorder treatment and facilitate psycho-educational groups to support individuals working toward long term recovery while under the supervision of the Merrimack County Department of Corrections.Required Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in criminal justice, social services, counseling or related field or any combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.Ability to obtain Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of New Hampshire required. A valid New Hampshire Driver's License required or other State if residence is outside of NH.Additional Eligibility QualificationsA criminal background check will be required of all conditional hires.EOE
