Summary
Lead StaffLead Staff (shift leads) are members of a care-team responsible for leading and maintaining a safe, supervised, and structured living environment for adolescent residents that is conducive to their well-being. Lead Staff assess group dynamics and resident needs and promote improved social, developmental, educational, and physical functioning of group home residents. The ability to understand the perspective of others is critical and staff must truly care about the success of youth. This position requires weekend and holiday hours on a rotating schedule.You will work alongside residents to support achievement of treatment goals through engagement in healthy and productive daily activities through the following tasks:Lead scheduled shift activities and ensure programming schedules are followed.Maintain a safe, supervised, and structured living environment for our adolescent clientsSupervise youth and knowing their whereabouts at all timesFacilitate crisis counseling, conflict resolution, and problem solving with and for clientsIncorporate client treatment objectives into the individual care of residentsTransport and supervise clients at designated activities and appointmentsFollow program policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state licensing requirementsAccurately complete and review shift documentationTrain new hires following the defined training programAdditional duties as assignedAs a Lead Staff Member, you will enjoy these benefits:Initial and continuous trainingPaid time off$1/hr weekend shift differential payFull benefit package including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurancesRetirement planning with employer matchFree employee assistance programRotating schedule with every other weekend offFull-time employees are eligible to apply for the Public Service Student Loan Forgiveness ProgramEligible for a performance-based pay increase at 6 months and 1 year during the first year of employment, and then annually thereafterYour schedule will include:Nine-hour shifts on a rotating scheduleShifts scheduled every other weekend are required.Shifts are typically scheduled within the timeframe of 6am and 6pm.Holiday rotation is required.Some of the skills and experience we are looking for from you:Bachelor's degree in a human/social services related field preferred but not requiredPrevious experience working with a youth population in a residential setting is preferred but not requiredAt least 21 years of ageHold a valid driver's licenseMust be caring and resilientThis job is ideal for someone with experience:CaregivingWorking in schools or childcareWorking in law enforcement or correctionsWorking at youth campsVolunteering in a helping role
