Primarily responsible for staffing fixed posts, following established operating procedures to control access to restricted areas on campus. Occasionally conducts patrols of the campus on foot, vehicle, or bicycle, responding to general calls for service and preparing written reports of activities. Locks and unlocks buildings based on a pre-determined schedule or when dispatched to do so. Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian Order. Greets visitors, students, and employees in a friendly professional manner.Respond to routine calls for service. Provide escorts for students, faculty, and staff as requested; provide transportation as needed; assist ill or injured persons as needed. Assists in the emergency evacuation of buildings or areas.Prepare written reports of work performed.Alerts supervisors to traffic hazards or violations that could result in a vehicle being towed and/or booted.Staffs special event assignments, including athletic competitions, homecoming and commencement.Regularly attends training and participates in departmental meetings. Assumes an active role in University and departmental quality improvement efforts.Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.Must have the ability to become certified in CPR and First Aid.Demonstrated ability to be customer service orientedMust have professionally interacted with customers, guests and/or fellow employees of individuals in a courteous manner and to de-escalate situations before they become unsafeUnderstanding of written instructions.Ability to prepare written reports of activities.Strong verbal and interpersonal communication#J-18808-Ljbffr
