Job Description
As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in York, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor visitor and employee activity, and help maintain an orderly environment. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet systems as needed. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or associates by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a distribution location.
- Monitor and control access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and driver logs, and direct authorized personnel and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to access concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and irregularities through required reports and maintain professional communication with site personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
