Position Summary
This position provides a wide variety of professional support to the Dean of the College of Business Administration. Assignments are received from, carried out for, and reported to the Dean. This position supports the Dean at events and during activities on and off campus as required in support of state and non-state supported programs including undergraduate and graduate programs required and appropriate; advises the Dean, providing extensive professional assistance, project management, and recommendations on College issues; and performs highly responsible and independent work covering a broad range of college activities in consultation with the Dean and other College administrators and directors.
This position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day communications, organization, and activities of the Dean's office. This is a professional position requiring extensive experience with public relations, higher education settings, business and other professional organizations with exceptional analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities may include drafting and revising materials for presentation, drafting and/or reviewing reports and correspondence; following up on issues and activities; compiling and organizing information; coordinating Advisory Board meetings with the Development Analyst, Dean's level committee, staff meetings and professional development activities; preparing agendas; and taking meeting minutes. Incumbent provides lead work direction and supervision to student assistant(s).
FLSA: Exempt (not eligible for overtime compensation)
Anticipated Hiring Range: $5,274 per month (Step 1). Anticipated hiring rate is at the entry of the classification salary range.
CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,274 per month (Step 1) - $7,684 per month (Step 20)
Salary step placement will be determined based on relevant qualifications and professional experience.

Department Information
The College of Business (COB) currently enrolls 4,000 students, with 3,500 at the undergraduate level and 500 at the graduate level. The College of Business has been accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) since 1963, one of just 5% of the world’s 16,000 higher education institutions to have earned this designation. The COB is composed of six departments and offers one undergraduate degree (BS in Business) with 11 concentrations and five graduate degrees. The college is also in the process of developing three new graduate programs.
The COB has established itself as a leader in innovative programming, such as AI Management, Business Analytics, Cybersecurity Management, and Digital Marketing. The College of Business has a strong reputation in quantitative business topics, including Accounting, Finance, and Analytics. The COB Office of Student Engagement provides excellent support to students, including advising, tutoring, professional development, and networking opportunities. The COB has 14 business student clubs and provides over $300k in scholarships for our business students.

Minimum Qualifications
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience. Additional experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
