Position Summary
We are seeking professional and dependable Security Officers to staff a Class A downtown office building. Officers are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for tenants, visitors, and property assets through visible patrols, access control, and prompt response to incidents.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and control access to the building, including visitor and contractor sign-in procedures
Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols to deter and detect security concerns
Observe, report, and document suspicious activity, safety hazards, and incidents
Respond appropriately to alarms, emergencies, and tenant requests
Enforce building rules, security procedures, and post orders in a professional manner
Provide customer service to tenants and visitors while maintaining a security presence
Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident reports
Coordinate with property management, emergency services, and on-site staff as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to remain alert and professional for extended periods
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to climb stairs and conduct building patrols
Work Environment
Professional downtown office building
Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
