DescriptionThe Administrative Assistant III supports the Community Development & Revitalization Department by performing advanced administrative, organizational, and operational tasks that facilitate effective program delivery and community-focused initiatives.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE $19.34 - $25.32 OPEN UNTIL FILLED - APPLICATION REVIEW BEGINS IMMEDIATELYDuties and ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Order of Essential Functions does not indicate the importance of functions.) Performs a complex set of highly confidential and technical administrative tasks.Serves as the FMLA and HR representative and processes PAN, Position Changes, and various HR-related forms for the Director.Serves as the primary public-facing representative of CDR, ensuring all constituents, applicants, and community partners are treated with respect and receive prompt, accurate, and courteous service; manages citizen inquiries and escalates concerns to appropriate program staff.
Gathers, assembles, updates, distributes, and files various information, forms, records, and data as requested using traditional filing systems or databases as necessary.
Maintains and orders office supplies and handles office maintenance issues.
Manages assigned departmental projects and performs technical administrative functions for the leadership team members, including the use of graphic design software and advanced Microsoft documents/spreadsheets.
Participates in community events outreach for department services.
Maintains a basic understanding of the Urban Entitlement Grant and other grant programs.
Responsible for overseeing all program publications within the department.Provides administrative support by preparing correspondence, reports, lists, and other documents as instructed and requested by designated office personnel, including meeting preparation.

Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree required.A minimum of five years or more of successful experience in an administrative role supporting an executive, director, or manager.Must possess a valid SC Driver's license (or obtain one within three (3) months of hire) and meet the requirements of the County’s motor vehicle policy.
