Summary
ProVets Consulting Group, LLC is pursuing a contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology Compliance, Risk and Remediation. Should ProVets be awarded the contract, our team will process Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests received by the VA.This position is contingent upon ProVets being awarded the work. We are interviewing and sending Letters of Commitment to the most qualified applicants in various labor categories.In this role, you will: Support FOIA request processing through initial reviews, searches, drafting response materials, and applying exemptions under supervision. Contribute to workflow efficiency and accurate documentation in the VA eFOIA system.Primary responsibilities Conduct initial assessment of FOIA requests and perform assigned searches for responsive records under guidance.Draft clear and professional correspondence and response materials for Government review.Apply FOIA exemptions and redactions consistently under supervision and document work accurately.Maintain organized case notes and status updates in the eFOIA system to support team production.Support backlog reduction through standardized processing tasks and quality checks as directed.Coordinate with team leads for clarifications, tasking, and corrections to maintain throughput.Required qualifications 3+ years of professional or analytical experience1+ year of FOIA request processing experience within the last 24 months.Ability to apply FOIA exemptions accurately and consistently.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft clear, professional responses.Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database tools.Ability to conduct effective internet and records research to support FOIA search and review activities.Associate degree preferred as referenced in the solicitation language, with FOIA related training preferred. Additional FOIA experience may substitute for formal FOIA training.Location VA Central Office, 811 Vermont Ave, NW Washington, DC 20420 with remote work authorized (subject to gov't discretion)#J-18808-Ljbffr
