Summary
Arrow Electronics is seeking a Senior Cyber Defense Engineer to strengthen our global security posture across wholesale technology and IT solutions operations. In this role, you will design and optimize cyber defense capabilities, including network, endpoint, and cloud security controls, to protect complex, large-scale environments. You will lead threat detection and incident response using SIEM, EDR, and automation, conduct vulnerability assessments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams worldwide. Responsibilities
- Design and enhance enterprise cyber defense architecture across networks, endpoints, and cloud environments.
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents using SIEM, EDR, and threat intelligence tools.
- Develop and tune security detection rules, playbooks, and automation to improve threat detection and response times.
- Lead technical root-cause analysis for security events and drive remediation with cross-functional IT and engineering teams.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, prioritize risks, and coordinate mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to embed security best practices into systems design, deployments, and change management.
- Produce clear security metrics, reports, and recommendations for technical leaders and management.
- Mentor junior security engineers and analysts, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
