ADULT SERVICES LIBRARIAN (PART-TIME) -- Springfield Free Public LibraryThe Springfield Free Public Library seeks an enthusiastic, customer-focused, and dependable Adult Services Librarian to join our team to staff our Information Desk on a part-time basis. The schedule would include one evening per week (preferably Wednesday evening), approximately every third Saturday, and occasional Sundays as needed.ResponsibilitiesAssist patrons with their informational, reference, and technology needs.Provide reference and readers' advisory services and answer informational questions using print and digital resources.Assist patrons with the library catalog, databases, e-books, online resources, public computers, printers, copiers, and other library technology.Place holds and facilitate requests through the statewide interlibrary loan (ILL) system.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsMLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited program preferred; MLS/MLIS students will be considered.Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.Comfort with current and emerging technologies.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.ScheduleOne evening per week (preferably Wednesday evening), approximately every third Saturday, and occasional Sundays as needed.To ApplyPlease email a cover letter and resume by July 15, 2026, to:Salary & Benefits$36.19 per hour, in accordance with NJLA's recommended minimum salary guidelines.
