If you love working with young people and want to help shape a welcoming, engaging space just for them, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll Do Provide reference, reader's advisory, and research assistance to teens in person, by phone, and onlinePlan, promote, and lead engaging programs and events for teens, such as book clubs, gaming nights, and creative workshopsHelp select, evaluate, and maintain the teen collection to ensure it reflects teen interests and current trendsBuild partnerships with local schools and youth-serving organizations to promote library services to teens and familiesHelp design and evaluate new services and programs that support teen literacy and engagementInstruct teens in the use of library resources, technology, databases, and digital toolsCreate displays, booklists, and promotional materials to highlight teen collections and programsParticipate in outreach efforts, including school visits and community events for teensStay current on trends in YA literature, teen culture, and best practices in teen servicesQualifications and Requirements Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) from an ALA-accredited programStrong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to connect with and engage teen patrons in a welcoming, inclusive wayProficiency with library technology, integrated library systems, databases, and standard office softwareAbility to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as neededExperience planning and delivering teen programming and outreachKnowledge of current trends in YA literature and teen servicesValid driver's licenseCompensation & Benefits Salary: Starting at $22.12 per hourOhio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS): 10% employee contribution14% employer contributionHealth insurance with employer HSA contributionLife insurance13 paid holidaysPaid Time Off (PTO)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Continuing education opportunitiesPosition open until filled.#J-18808-Ljbffr
