Security Officer - Orangeburg, NYPay Rate: $23.00/hr.
We are currently seeking professional and dependable Security Officers to join our team at a secure corporate environment in Orangeburg, NY. This position is ideal for security professionals who are attentive, customer-service oriented, and capable of maintaining a high level of professionalism in a critical facility.
Position Details- Location: Orangeburg, NY
- Pay Rate: $23.00/hr.
- Schedule: Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available based on operational needs
- Must be available to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as required
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Monitor and control access to the facility
- Use C-Cure access control systems to open doors, manage badge access, and create badges
- Use D-Boss/Site Pass to read, understand, and process tickets authorizing access to the site
- Use the BioConnect system to update and add fingerprints to badges for access to biometric readers throughout the facility
- Monitor CCTV systems diligently and remain vigilant for unusual or suspicious activity
- Ensure all visitors are properly checked in and authorized before granting access
- Use an intercom system to communicate professionally with visitors requiring access to the building
- Communicate effectively with the operations team via radio
- Enforce site security policies, procedures, and access control protocols
- Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies
- Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports
- Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors
- Collaborate effectively with fellow Security Officers, management, and client personnel
- Utilize Slack for workplace communication and messaging
- Utilize Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook for daily administrative and security-related tasks
- Maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment at all times
- Valid New York State Security Guard License
- High School Diploma, GED, or proof of education
- Previous security experience preferred
- Previous experience with access control systems preferred
- Ability to learn and operate security technology and computer-based systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
- Familiarity with Slack or similar workplace messaging platforms
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Reliable transportation to and from the assigned location
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
