Job DescriptionThe Electrical Supervisor supervises a team of electricians in maintaining the integrity of all agency-owned electrical systems and associated assets. This is accomplished by knowledge and use of a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS), supervising the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems, scheduling work requests, delivering supplies, materials, and equipment, working with other departments, vendors and contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and electrical installation guidelines. Other duties include responding to requests and emergencies, directing design and installation of power supplies and lighting, updating design standards, and specifying materials for design and construction. Will be required to work scheduled shift during Snow and Ice events performing various tasks as trained.
Retention Bonus: $2,000

This position is designated as an Essential Employee and is responsible for duties that support public safety, the protection of property, and the continuity of critical business operations. As a condition of employment, incumbents may be required to work day, evening, overnight, weekend, holiday, and emergency shifts to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of essential services.
Responsibilities:
- Supervises work and projects by scheduling and assigning tasks and crews, monitoring performance and progress, ensuring availability of needed items, inspecting work, compiling data, training crews, and providing technical assistance, and creating and maintaining reports of time, productivity, and costs.
- Receives, plans, and schedules work by investigating work requests, confirming crews’ availability, ensuring equipment and vehicles are safe, dispatching work, and monitoring team.
- Verifies available materials by processing materials lists, purchasing accordingly, specifying, writing, and assisting with large procurements, and viewing materials as necessary.
- Verifies electrical systems integrity by meeting with inspectors and contractors, ensuring compliance, inspecting materials, notifying individuals of failed inspections, and reconciling issues.
- Maintains databases by entering assets, entering material and labor costs, and scheduling and documenting time.
- Responds to requests and emergencies by investigating and repairing as necessary, temporarily connecting power supplies, and responding to emergency roadway issues.
- Prepares and maintains equipment schedules and coordinates preventive maintenance and repair.
Qualifications:
M inimum:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent training.
- Master Electrician License.
- At least nine (9) years’ experience in electrical construction, maintenance, and repair with at least one (1) year experience leading and supervising subordinate personnel .
Preferred:
- Class “B” CDL.
