Surveillance Agent

Summary

A Surveillance Agent is responsible for monitoring casino operations and property activities through advanced audio and video surveillance systems to ensure compliance with gaming regulations, company policies, and security procedures. This role involves continuously observing multiple camera feeds covering casino table games, slot machines, cashier cages, count rooms, vaults, restaurants, entrances, parking lots, and other operational areas. The agent documents suspicious activity, procedural violations, monetary transaction discrepancies, and potential illegal conduct while maintaining strict confidentiality of investigations, reports, and sensitive information. Surveillance Agents prepare detailed written reports, maintain official logs, collect and preserve evidence for internal and legal purposes, communicate effectively with security personnel and management through radio systems, and make timely decisions under stressful situations. The position also requires learning and applying gaming regulations, following established chains of command, adhering to standard operating procedures, and contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.

The position requires strong observational, analytical, and communication skills, along with the ability to work independently for extended periods while performing repetitive monitoring tasks. Candidates should possess basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and preferably have a high school diploma or GED, along with at least 24 months of relevant experience in surveillance, security, casino operations, table games, slots, or cashiering involving money and chip handling. Physical requirements include prolonged sitting, frequent hand use, corrected 20/20 vision without color blindness, and the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. The role demands regular attendance, flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and unusual hours, and the ability to solve problems, interpret data, and make sound decisions quickly. Additional requirements include obtaining and maintaining a gaming license through the Pueblo of Laguna Gaming Control Board, maintaining a valid New Mexico driver's license, complying with Bank Secrecy Act Title 31 certification requirements, successfully completing surveillance training, and passing pre-employment alcohol and drug screenings.
