Vacant Position Program Specialist (WAP)Closing Date: Opened Until FilledEmployment Type: Non-exempt/Hourly (part-time)Salary: $16-$18 HourlyAmount of Travel Required: 0%Schedule: Monday – Friday 10 am – 3 pm, some nights and weekendsOverview of General Responsibilities and DutiesCoordinate, compiles, and schedules the appointments and screenings of eligible individual and family documents for the WAP Program. Prepares reports, and maintain all pertinent information as it relates to the WAP Program.Essential FunctionsAssisting with recruiting eligible individuals and families.Schedules appointments, screens for eligibility, assign priorities as indicated in grant. Notifies applicant of reason for denial. Maintains waiting list.Identifies other needs and make appropriate referrals for service.Compiles and maintains documents. Develops complete, accurate and confidential records.Prepares monthly and quarterly reports on activities. Maintains aggregate demographic data on clients.Terminates files after all services have been rendered.Follows up on applicants.Provides education materials to customers on energy conservation.Issues and compiles results of satisfaction surveys. Follows up on complaints and resolves issues.Answers phone inquiries and in-person questions.QualificationsAssociate's Degree (AA) in Business, Office Technology, or related field with six months to one-year related experience and/or training. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Other RequirementsBe able to communicate with a wide variety of people.Be computer literate, knowledge of various office software programs and able to learn program specific software within 90 days of hire.Standards of ConductEmployee must recognize and be sensitive to the cultural, ethnic and social diversity among the population served and the community at large.Employee must maintain strict confidentiality.Tactfulness and courtesy are essential when representing the agency with the general public.Employee must be committed to continuous quality and performance improvement
