Job Duties:

Performs complex consultive services and technical assistance work. Works involves monitoring and evaluating operations and programs to ensure conformity with contracts, laws, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations; and providing guidance to others. Works under general supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Provides Consultive services to mitigate risk by monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating operations at community facilities.

Monitors contract facilities by observing operations and activities to identify and mitigate risk.

Conducts onsite visits and examines records.

Responds to emergencies and serious incidents to include escapes, disturbances, and natural disasters.

Compiles, organizes, and analyzes data to include financial data, and prepares contract reviews identifying areas of noncompliance timely and accurately.

Investigates allegations of noncompliance to include examine financial records and calculating financial impacts and provides written and oral reports to other staff, departments, officials, agencies, and organizations.

Observes residents and contracted staff in various technical areas to include maintenance, laundry, food service, and programmatic operations to report deficiencies.

Plans, organizes, and prioritizes multiple projects and tasks to meet established deadlines.

Performs criminal information searches and retrieval using Texas Department Safety criminal history system access.

You'd be a GOOD fit if:

Graduated from an accredited senior high school or equivalent, or GED.

Have at least four years fulltime; wage earning case processing, customer service, clerical, administrative support, technical program support, or operational support experience.

Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the CHEA or by the USDE preferred.

Must have a valid state driver license.

Must have or be able to obtain a Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM) certification within twelve (12) months from the date of employment and maintain valid certification.

You'd be a GREAT fit if:

Have experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent to include work processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software programs preferred.

Parole officer experience preferred.

Have technical review of program evaluation experience preferred.

Have teaching, training, or staff development experience preferred.

Have knowledge of the overall operations of community confinement facilities.

Have the ability to review technical data and prepare detailed technical reports accurately and timely.

Have knowledge of agency and departmental organization structure, contracts, policies, procedures, rules and regulations.

Have the ability to monitor program compliance with contracts and established policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and guidelines.
