About This Position

The City of Austin Employment Services Center is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Program Manager I to lead and coordinate all facets of four annual citywide job fairs. This part-time position is ideal for a professional who excels at project management, stakeholder coordination, and developing clear operational processes. Under general direction, the Program Manager I will manage event programming from planning through execution, while also creating the supporting documentation, tools, and templates that enable consistent, high-quality event production.

Purpose:

Under general direction, this position is responsible for managing programs that integrate multiple elements or projects to achieve a defined objective.

Salary Range: $33.06 - $41.33

Office Location: J. Snell Building, 1050 E. 11th Street, Suite 200, Austin, TX 78702

Days and Hours:

The standard schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday for six (6) hours per day and Friday for five (5) hours per day, for a total not to exceed twenty-nine (29) hours per week. An alternative schedule may be approved, provided it does not exceed this weekly hourly limit. Additionally, the position will be eligible for telework at a later date, subject to departmental needs and supervisory approval.

Driving Requirement:

This position requires a Valid Texas Driver License or the ability to acquire one by your hire date. External New Hires must meet the City of Austin’s Driver Record Evaluation (DRE) requirements. To be considered for a driving position, applicants cannot have more than three moving violations or a total of six Driver Record Evaluation points within a period of thirty-six (36) months.
