Airport Operations and Maintenance Technician

City of Loveland Loveland, CO, USA

Job Description:

Airport Operations and Maintenance Technician

Description

At Northern Colorado Regional Airport (FNL)—one of the fastest‑growing commercial service airports in the state—every day brings new challenges, new opportunities, and real impact. As Colorado’s 5th busiest airport and a Part 139-certified airfield with a brand-new terminal and a $20 million runway widening underway, FNL is shaping the future of aviation in Northern Colorado.

Under the direction of the Airport Operations Manager, we’re looking for a safety‑focused, hands‑on Airport Operations & Maintenance Technician who thrives in a dynamic environment. This role is essential to keeping the airfield, facilities, equipment, and grounds safe, compliant, and mission‑ready—whether that means inspecting the airfield at sunrise, clearing snow during a storm, supporting emergency response partners, or helping prepare the airport for increased commercial air service.

If you enjoy problem‑solving, working outdoors, operating equipment, supporting aircraft operations, and being part of a team that collaborates with FAA, ATC, city departments, emergency services, airlines, and aviation tenants, this is a career where your work truly matters. No two days look the same, and your contributions help ensure the safety, reliability, and growth of a vital regional transportation hub.

Requires weekend availability and twenty-four (24) hour on-call response when requested to events such as aircraft emergencies, special events, and snow removal during winter months, including weekends and holidays.

Required to pass the TSA background check requirements and must obtain clearance to work within airport secured areas.

Job Summary:
