The Food Services Worker - Generalist positions work in the hospital cafeteria where food is prepared and perform a variety of duties such as food preparation, serving food, cashiering, and cleaning equipment and workstations. There are two (2) permanent full-time (40 hours per week), two (2) permanent part-time (32 hours per week), and three (3) permanent intermittent (40 hours per week, various schedule) vacancies in Food and Nutrition Services!
The eligible list resulting from this recruitment may also be used to fill other vacancies in the future.

What you will typically be responsible for: - Prepare food for cooking by peeling, cutting, or slicing.
- Set up tray lines and/or individual trays.
- Serve meals to cafeteria customers and patients.
- Clean items used in the kitchen such as dishes, pots, pans, containers, carts, and equipment.
- Clean facilities including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing work areas such as floors, storage spaces, trucks and empty garbage cans.
- Assist with stocking supplies and deliveries.
- Report food quality or safety concerns to the Food Service Worker (Lead) or the Food and Nutrition Services Department management team.

The eligible list established from this recruitment may remain in effect for six months.Minimum QualificationsExperience: One year of full-time, or its equivalent, experience in an institutional or commercial kitchen which included preparing and serving food, and cleaning kitchen equipment and facilities.
Selection Process 1.
