This position will be located at 1730 East Elm Street, Jefferson City, MO.
You will be joining the Missouri Department of Natural Resources as a Professional Engineer for the Remediation and Radiological Assessment Unit in the Environmental Remediation Program's Federal Facilities Section. You will manage high profile projects and provide state oversight of Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, (or “Superfund”) cleanups at radiologically contaminated sites and other federal facility sites in the state.
- Independently provide regulatory advice and guidance on project decisions.
- Develop sampling plans, perform data analysis and interpretation, and other tasks to ensure environmental compliance.
- Effectively appraise management of remedy defining issues and/or potential violations.
- Coordinate with other regulatory agencies, legislators, local governments, the public, etc. as needed for various site-related activities.
- Provide Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) oversight of a remediation project in the St. Louis area
- Attend public meetings and represent the department
This position requires registration as a licensed professional engineer in the State of Missouri

Equivalent to those typically gained by:
- 4+ years of progressive relevant experience with site characterization and remediation; data processing, mapping, project management, and field work.

Salary:
$68,568-$72,000 per Year
