The Fresno C ounty Department of Behavioral Health is offering an exciting and challenging career opportunity for individuals interested in the position of Public Guardian Manager.

The Public Guardian Manager, reporting to the Director of Behavioral Health or his/her designee, oversees the activities of the Public Guardian's Office and is responsible for overall management, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating divisional goals, programs, policies and procedures; supervising staff involved in investigating and managing conservatorship cases; and investigates and manages the most difficult and complex cases as needed.

Positions in this classification are in Medical Group I - Light Physical Activity (Personnel Rule 8). This group includes positions which require only light physical effort and may include lifting of small, light objects and some bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and reaching. Considerable walking or standing may be involved.

Minimum Qualifications OPTION 1 :

Education : Graduation with a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university that is acceptable within the United States' college or university system.

Experience : Two (2) years of full-time, paid supervisory or lead worker experience providing conservatee services and/or estate management services to the elderly or dependent adults and their families.

Substitution : Additional qualifying full-time, paid work experience may be substituted for up to two (2) years of the required education.

License : Possession of a valid California Class "C" Driver's License may be required.

OPTION 2 :

Education : Graduation with a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university that is acceptable within the United States' college or university system.

Experience : Two (2) years of full-time, paid work experience equivalent to that gained as a Deputy Public Administrator/Guardian II with the County of Fresno.

Substitution : Additional qualifying full-time, paid work experience may be substituted for up to two (2) years of the required education.

License : Possession of a valid California Class "C" Driver's License may be required.
