Job Location:- The office for this position is located at the Harry S. Truman State Office Building, 301 W High Street, Jefferson City, MO. 65101.

This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the Department of Corrections (DOC).

- Develop and maintain applications using a variety of languages, including but not limited to Java J2EE, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Ant, supporting MO DOC.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries and system databases, relationships, indexes, views, tables and fields.
- Analyze, solve, and correct production issues and provide documentation.
- Develop and support complex queries and support stored procedures.
- Communicate with business users to establish database and report requirements.
- Analyze, design, develop, peer review, test and implement code for new projects and ongoing maintenance efforts.
- Create, adhere to and enforce technical standards, including secure coding standards.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues and requests.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Write and update technical specifications.
- Continuous learning (technical and professional development).
Knowledge of, or ability to learn, one or more of these languages and technologies:
- Java (J2EE, Struts, WebSphere, DB2 LUW, JSPs, JSFs, EJBs).
- IBM Rational Application Developer Tool (IBM RAD).
- XML, Eclipse, MVC, SQL, MS SQL
- SQL Server (database design, T-SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers).
- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- JavaScript and various frameworks, specifically jQuery, JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), Data Interchange, Bootstrap.
- Design and layout using HTML and CSS, configurations, application security, and knowledge of source control fundamentals.
- Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.
