THE CITY ENGINEER
Under the direction of the Public Works Director, the City Engineer provides complex engineering and management support on a variety of City infrastructure projects, manages consultants, participates in developing mid/long range infrastructure plans and programs, design of mid to small scale city capital projects, as well as engineering review and guidance on private developments and utility installations. The City Engineer acts as Stormwater Permit Manager with minimal supervision. The City Engineer works as part of the Public Works Department and direct reports include the Assistant City Engineer and Engineering/ Project Inspector. Additionally, the right candidate may be an appropriate fit to become the next Public Works Director in the next four to five years as the current director reaches retirement.
