The PositionNapa County is seeking to fill one full time vacancy for the position of Office Assistant II to join the Self Sufficiency Services Division of the Health and Human Services Agency.
This position is bilingual Spanish and requires the ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish.The selected incumbent will perform a wide variety of general clerical duties and provide responsible office assistance to the Self Sufficiency Services Division. Candidate may assist in responding to general questions or inquiries from the public; prepare, process, assemble, file, and distribute a variety of documents such as reports, memorandums, correspondence, permits, applications, charts, tables, and specifications.
This recruitment is being conducted to fill 1 (one) full-time vacancy. The list established by this recruitment may also be used to fill future full-time, part-time, limited term, and extra help vacancies for up to one year.
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Agreed Salary increases and Wintertime Off (WTO):- 3.5% COLA increase effective 7/1/2025
- 3.5% COLA increase effective 7/1/2026
- 32.0 hours of Winter Time Off (WTO)
- Bilingual Pay for Level II: $180.00 biweekly
POSITION REQUIREMENTS Experience and Education: To qualify for this classification, an individual must possess any combination of experience and education that would likely produce the required knowledge and abilities. A desirable combination is:
Experience: One year of directly related general clerical experience.
Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade, including or supplemented by general clerical training.
License or Certificate:* Certain positions assigned to this class may require possession of a valid California Driver's License. *Any license, certification, or registration required for this position shall be maintained (i.e. active and in good standing) at all times during employment with Napa County. For continued employment with Napa County, you must maintain such license, certification, or registration to meet the minimum qualifications of this position.

Supplemental questions will be scored by the subject matter experts. The most qualified applicants from the scoring of the supplemental questions will be invited to take an oral and written bilingual skills examination
Bilingual Skills Examination
Tentatively scheduled for the week of February 24, 2025.
Candidates will be scheduled for oral and written examination.
Establish Eligibility List Tentatively scheduled for the week of March 24, 2025.
Candidates who pass both oral and written bilingual examinations will be placed on the eligibility list and may be considered for current and future vacancies for this position for up to one year. The Human Resources Department reserves the right to change the recruitment process at any time.
