The South Adams County Water & Sanitation District (SACWSD), dedicated to providing affordable and sustainable water resources to its customers, is seeking a qualified individual to join our Fleet/Facilities department.

This position primarily perform a variety of skilled and technical tasks to maintain, service, test, diagnose, inspect and repair the District’s fleet of automobiles, light and heavy duty trucks and equipment including:

·Perform regular routine service and maintenance including oil changes, flat repair; lights, and brakes

·Install accessories on vehicles

·Perform periodic DOT inspections on vehicles and equipment

·Troubleshoot problems, issues and complaints

·Maintain repair shop inventory

·Track and update vehicle/equipment maintenance schedules and repairs, work orders, and work records

·May assist with facilities maintenance as required

The qualified candidate should have:

·High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience which may include supplemental specialized training in automotive/equipment repair

·Vocational training in auto and equipment repair

·ASE State Certification of 2 of the following: T4, T8, A5 or G1 or the ability to obtain within 24 months of accepting the position.

·Valid, current Colorado Commercial Driver’s License

·A minimum of 3 (three) years experience as a mechanic, fleet department or related position

·Proficiency with technology

·Strong problem solving, organizational and communication

·Self starter, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment necessary

Successful candidate will be required to complete a drug screen and background check prior to employment.

Hiring Salary Range:$25-$37/hr
