Pay Range: $22.90/hr. - $28.62/hr.
Job Posting Closing on: Monday, February 10, 2025 Workdays & Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm; Some evening/weekend work required.

An Administrative Assistant job is available with the City of Fort Worth Neighborhood Services/ Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery Program (CDBG-DR).
The best qualified candidate will be a team player, possess excellent record-keeping skills, maintain confidentiality, and possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize to successfully meet deadlines.
This is a
grant funded overage position that will extend only to September 30, 2027 unless additional grant funds are received.
Minimum Qualifications: - Associate’s degree from an accredited college with major course work in Business Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Four (4) years of clerical, and administrative experience
Preferred Qualifications: - Candidates familiar with PeopleSoft both HCM/Financial
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Immediate to advance skills with MS Office software (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Experience with Federal grants
The Administrative Assistant job responsibilities include: - Schedule intake appointments for CDBG-DR staff
- Work closely with supervisors and managers
- Apply City and Department Personal Policies and Procedures
- Execution of contracts with internal and external partners
- Processing invoices
- All other duties assigned

- Sedentary Work - Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
