Youth Baseball Umpire
Description
Job SummaryGreenville's Recreation and Parks Department is currently looking for umpires for youth baseball games ages 5-8. Duties include but are not limited to umpiring, setting up for practices and games, and ensuring proper care of the program and facility.
Minimum Age: 16 years old, at the time of application
Seasonal Position: early May to late June 2025
Game Time (hours vary): 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm, Monday - Friday; 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, Saturday
Requirements:
- Applicants must possess a good knowledge of baseball rules and have the ability and patience to work with youth.
- Umpiring experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of First Aid and safety procedures is preferred.
- Mandatory staff trainings are required.
Applicants are required to submit a complete work history, complete educational history (to include high school information), and at least 3 references. An incomplete application will not be considered.
Regular part-time, temporary, and seasonal employees are not eligible for benefits.
