The Cyber Security Instructor coordinates, prepares, and delivers Cyber Security classes throughout the U.S. and its territories. The Cyber Security instructor trains various audiences including state and local emergency managers, government personnel, public sector officials, private sector representatives, and operators of critical infrastructure through courses which focus on strategies and techniques (i.e., identification, protection, detection, response, and recovery) to assist local and state communities improve their resilience against cyber incidents. The Cybersecurity Instructor will use their knowledge of adult learning theories and learning styles to maximize learning success and ensure the overall effectiveness of the course instruction. The Cybersecurity Instructor uses a variety of media to present course materials and is responsible for assisting in curriculum development projects to maintain course relevance and support customer needs.

This position reports to the Training Manager - NERRTC Cyber Programs.

Promote adaptability, providing instructional support to NERRTC Cooperative Agreement Cyber Training Program - 80%:


Promote teamwork by coordinating and collaborating with other personnel assigned to the program, other programs, divisions, and entities to maintain and further develop the program - 10%:


Promote stewardship by performing fiscal and administrative duties in a responsible manner - 10%:
