If you are a creative and enthusiastic youth librarian with an established history of developing early literacy and programming initiatives for school-age children, then Fort Worth Public Library’s Youth Program Coordinator position might be the perfect opportunity for you. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in the continued development of the Fort Worth Public Library’s innovative Lifelong Learning Division, which supports a system of 20 libraries that offer over 10,000 public programs annually. This position is responsible for leading development and implementation of programming for children from birth to fifth grade, with a particular emphasis on staff training, mentoring, and management of large-scale projects. The Library Youth Program Coordinator supervises a team of youth-focused programming staff and works closely with peer managers within Lifelong Learning, as well as the Community Outreach and Branch Services divisions.

Physical Demand

Light Work - Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work.
