Job Summary Salary: $13.00 Hourly Nature of Work: Assist the Center Manager in the delivery of services for the Families Parks and Recreation Pottery Studio, to ensure that the educational, behavioral and financial objectives of the program and the needs of the staff, youth, seniors, families and public are met. An employee in this classification performs specialized work in the area of arts programming under the direction of the FPR and/or Recreation Center Manager. Work includes helping to clean the facility and park every day. Work is reviewed for results obtained through reports, observation, performance evaluations and conferences. Responsibilities include front desk management, customer service, sales and registrations, while ensuring the safety of an FPR/Recreation enrichment, arts program and facility. Work is sometimes performed outdoors.
Work Locations: Pottery Studio
Minimum Qualifications: Currently attending high school, graduation from a high school or possession of a General Equivalency Diploma and some knowledge or experience with front desk customer service, registration software and Microsoft Word and Outlook experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of related training and experience. Applicant
must possess a valid Florida driver’s license or state ID. First Aid/CPR certification preferred. Certification by the Florida Recreation and Park Association desired, but not required.
THIS IS A PART_TIME_POSITION WITH NO GUARANTEE OF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS. THIS POSITION INVOLVES WORKING ON A TEMP/SEASONAL CONTRACT WHICH CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEEED. If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
Salary:
USD 13.00 per hour
