The City of Fort Worth is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as the Development Project Coordinator in the Water Strategic Ops Division. In this fast paced role, this individual will report directly to the Water Strategic Ops Assistant Director and will be required to research, analyze and provide detailed assessment on special wholesale technical requests, water/sewer petitions and other special development inquiries from the upper management. In addition, the Development Project Coordinator will provide support to the various engineers in the Strategic Ops Division.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in planning, urban design, engineering, architecture, public administration or a related field.
- Four (4) years of administrative management experience.
Preferred Qualifications: - Two years experience working with a large Water Department
The Development Project Coordinator - Acts as a technical liaison between wholesale customers and other Water Department divisions regarding wholesale technical inquiries.
- Researches and assesses previous wholesale technical contracts; facilitate meetings with various staff on technical items and follow through to ensure projects/or contracts are completed.
- Acts as a project facilitator between water and wastewater petition requestors and other Water Department divisions.
- Coordinates various water/sewer petition requests from existing water well/septic tank customers through petition process, facilitates meetings with water planning, capital delivery, development and customer care to ensure the petition requests/projects are progressing and installed.
- Coordinates complex encroachments of proposed gas lines through utility easements.
- Assists in research and collaborate complex technical inquiries regarding water planning/development issues that arise with customers.
- Develops alternative solutions to unique developments issues and/or procedural obstacles.
- Occasionally, collaborate with water planning/development managers to develop or amend policies and procedures.
- Prepares findings and summary on inquires. Prepares and presents reports, as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required.
