We are recruiting to fill a Senior Court Clerk position which is highly responsible advanced work using an electronic filing system in a court within the Missouri State Court System. Work involves responsibility for court case processing which may require the application of independent judgment and the application of statutes, policies and regulations, with minimal supervision. Work requires frequent interaction with the public providing exceptional customer service. Work may also involve financial record keeping within an automated case management system; providing direct support for a circuit judge or associate circuit judge providing a full range of responsibilities within the division's jurisdiction; or supervision of other staff.

General Duties:

Assist the Docketing Supervisor and perform technical clerical work in the Criminal/Traffic-Docketing Department which will include the following: work in tandem with the Docketing Supervisor in the supervision of the section; assist in the ensuring of docket coverage; assist in the ensuring of dockets being emailed and processed timely; reviewing the Nolle Report daily; assist in the maintenance of the section/department queues; work in tandem with the Docketing Supervisor to create and update the Docketing Clerk Manuel; attend court as needed; update the Recognizance Bond log daily; issue and recall warrants; process executed warrants; work with the Docketing Supervisor to make sure that Block Scheduling calendars are kept up to date and accurate; perform the duties of the Docketing Supervisor in their absence; attend meetings as needed; report the monthly drawer count for quality control; checking email; answering the departments phones; listen and return calls from voicemail; training clerks on all related criminal, traffic, and courtroom procedures; counsel and evaluate the performance of employees; assist in the development of procedures; schedule and approve leave; generate and process filings electronically and physically; scan documents; enter dispositions and continuances; interact on a daily basis with other departments; provide information to and assist judges, attorneys, court officials and the general public; and perform other duties as assigned.



Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in a related field or at least 60 semester hours from an institution of higher learning and two years of varied administrative experience performing a wide range of technical office duties.

Additional experience above the minimum stated may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.

EMPLOYEES MAY BE EXPOSED TO : Evidence and testimony that may be disturbing, such as photographs of violent scenes and victims and or sexually explicit material; evidence that may include syringes, drugs, weapons and blood; the public who may potentially be verbally or physically abusive, allergens, such as perfumes and dust; and unpleasant odors, such as unwashed clothing or chemicals offered into evidence.
