The Job

The San Bernardino County Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector (ATC) is recruiting for an Automated Systems Analyst (ASA) II - ATC who is responsible for server and network infrastructure support, as well as second tier support on desktop environments. ASA II's are responsible for diverse information systems that may include interfaces to other County enterprise systems. Essential duties include senior-level system administration, advanced troubleshooting skills, network design and management, database and server administration, evaluation and recommendation of new technologies, capacity planning, writing hardware and software specifications, and interacting with vendors and other departments.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Pre-Employment Process: Applicants must successfully pass a background check, including fingerprinting and polygraph for some positions, and a job-related physical exam, including a drug test, prior to employment.

Shift Availability: Must be available to work different shifts. The County pays an hourly differential for those employees working night shifts.

**Salary increases contingent upon assessed values for previous fiscal year.

Minimum Requirements

CANDIDATES MUST MEET ALL OF THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

EXPERIENCE
Must possess two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional experience (gained within the last five (5) years) in technical support and systems administration within a Microsoft networked environment. This experience must include:
-AND-
Must demonstrate three (3) years of full-time equivalent experience in three (3) or more of the following specialized areas:

EDUCATION
Must possess thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed coursework in information technology, computer sciences, or a closely related field -OR-a certificate as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, or Cisco Certified Network Administrator may substitute for the required education.

*Education Substitution: Two (2) additional years of qualifying experience can substitute for the education/certification requirement.

EDUCATION
Qualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education.
