Glimmerglass State Park in the Central Region is seeking a full-time seasonal employee to perform maintenance tasks at the park facilities. Under the supervision of higher-level personnel, duties will include:

• Perform building and grounds upkeep, landscaping, litter control, and janitorial activities.
• Scrub and clean restrooms, including showers, toilets, sinks, and drains, using hand-operated equipment and cleaning agents.
• Perform landscaping duties such as push mowing, trimming, weeding, mulching, watering, and clearing trails.
• Operate small equipment including wood splitters, leaf blowers, string trimmers, push mowers, utility carts, and pressure washers.
• Empty trash, recyclables, and waste, in accordance with cleaning schedule.
• Monitor supplies and equipment; and notify supervisor of supply levels, equipment malfunction, and/or maintenance issues observed during work activities.
• Wear appropriate protective clothing and other specialized protective equipment as required by the assignments.
• Pick up or drop off items at park buildings, stores, and additional locations.
• Participate in required site meetings and agency trainings.
• Set up and assist with special events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
• Must be physically able to perform light to medium physical labor.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.

From $15.97 to $15.97 Hourly
