The Environmental Services Department is seeking a Business Process Analyst II to support department-wide technology initiatives and serve as a system administrator for the customer service platform, ISM. The selected individual will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM through 5:00 PM. This position is located on-site. Occasionally, selected individuals may be asked to work weekends or after hours to support departmental systems.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
- Four (4) years of business experience and business analysis experience.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications: - Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server/SSRS, Crystal Reports, and Visio.
- Proficiency in Business Process Mapping.
The Business Process Analyst II job responsibilities include: - Plans, tracks, and oversees activities on assigned departmental projects related to systems and business requirements. Collects and analyzes stakeholder requirements to ensure successful application of the system development life cycle and efficient utilization of systems.
- Design and document process workflows to ensure proper application and user interface; may create document links.
- Manages department application modules and provides user administration such as add/change/delete permissions (role) assignment and develop Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Configures applications to meet business requirements, creates end-user documentation and trains users on use of new functionality.
- Performs quality assurance and controls data integrity.
- Manages and troubleshoots issues within related software (e.g. Ivanti ISM, GIS, etc.).
- Generates and maintains regular reports using SQL to leverage system capabilities.
- Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
- Provides technical assistance to staff within an assigned division relative to the various information processing applications and communicates with outside vendors, when necessary.

Physical Demands Sedentary Work - Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
