Position DescriptionDynamic and results-driven operations leader to join a developing team and play a foundational role in launching the Institute for Comprehensive Cancer Care. This team member will be responsible for developing and executing the operational and logistical strategies needed to support patient care and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will bring a startup mindset, health care operations experience, and a strong ability to drive organizational structure and efficiency from the start-up. The team member will foster a high-performance, patient-centered culture that reflects our core values.
Major/Essential Functions- Design and implement operational systems, workflows, and policies tailored for a high-growth health care startup environment.
- Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of the institute's establishment and opening, including setup and systems implementation.
- Partner with institutional stakeholders such as clinical, academic and research leadership, finance, IT, and HR to ensure aligned and integrated operations across the organization.
- Ensure seamless coordination of clinical activity, including supplies, medical equipment, and facility logistics, to support effective and efficient patient care.
- Collaborate with HR and department leads to define staffing needs, hire key operations staff, and establish onboarding protocols.
- Source, negotiate, and manage third-party vendors and service providers critical to the center's operations (e.g., medical supply vendors, IT services, facilities management).
- Work closely with finance and budget teams to develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective procurement and resource allocation.
- Continuously evaluate and refine processes to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance service delivery.
- Ensure all operational practices are in line with health care regulations, licensing requirements, and federal and state accreditation standards.
- Oversee the deployment and integration of operational technologies (e.g., EMR systems, logistics software, patient intake tools).
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree required. Seven years of progressively responsible management experience is required. Education beyond the bachelor's level may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
