The Job

San Bernardino County is seeking an experienced and visionary IT Division Chief - Business Relationship Management (BRM) to lead a dynamic team of Business Relationship Managers. This key leadership role reports directly to the Assistant Chief Information Officer (ACIO) and acts as a strategic partner to County departments, aligning business goals with practical and innovative technology solutions.

The IT Division Chief will play a central role in driving innovation, enhancing service delivery, and ensuring that IT investments deliver measurable value. Through strong leadership, collaboration with stakeholders, and advocacy for customers, the incumbent will translate the County’s strategic objectives into actionable IT initiatives.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Pre-Employment Process: Prior to appointment, candidate must undergo a background check, which includes fingerprinting and a medical exam.

Travel:
Travel throughout the County may be required. Employees will be required to make provisions for such transportation.

Sponsorship:
San Bernardino County is unable to consider candidates who require Visa sponsorship at the time or in the future. Candidates must be able to present their legal right to work in the United States.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates MUST possess the required education and experience in ALL of the following areas in order to qualify.

EXPERIENCE: Seven (7) years of full-time equivalent experience in IT leadership, stakeholder engagement, or Business Relationship Management roles within large public sector or enterprise environments. MANAGEMENT: Three (3) years full-time equivalent experience as an IT Manager over staff engaged in business analysis, enterprise system support, or oversight and management of IT projects. Experience may be concurrent.
EDUCA TION: A completed bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university computer science, information technology, business administration, public administration or closely related field.

Substitution: Two (2) additional years of qualifying experience may substitute for required education.
