Behavioral Health is currently looking to fill 2 vacancies:

• Youth Crisis Stabilization Unit (YCSU): responsible for the daily operations, clinical oversight, and staff supervision of a 24/7 facility providing short-term, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive crisis intervention and stabilization services to youth experiencing acute behavioral health crises. The Program Supervisor ensures the delivery of high-quality care in accordance with county, state, and federal regulations, and works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, schools, hospitals, and other community partners.
• Behavioral Health Administration: Support 28 Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) programs, provide clinical and program consultation, conduct program and fiscal reviews, act as lead in conducting triennial program and fiscal reviews of all Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) funded programs, gather and analyze data, write reports and correspondence. Will also support stakeholder participation events and activities, Contra Costa Behavioral Health Services (CCBHS) sponsored and other committees and workgroups, as needed. Support MHSA team members and CCBHS administration workload, as needed. Support mandated systems transformation from MHSA to Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA), Integrated Plan submission and writeup, Behavioral Health Services Act Integration Plan Template, PEI dissemination and revision and Community Planning Process involvement. Additional assignments and responsibilities as needed.

What you will typically be responsible for:

• May provide direct supervision and support to clinical and non-clinical staff, including mental health therapists, nurses, behavioral health specialists, and peer support specialists.
• Coordinate and monitor daily program operations to ensure timely assessments, interventions, and safe discharge planning.
• Conduct clinical case consultations and provide oversight of treatment planning and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Medi-Cal, licensing, and accreditation requirements, including documentation, billing, and quality assurance.
• Foster a youth and family-centered approach to care that emphasizes safety, dignity, and resilience.
• Facilitate coordination and communication with referring agencies, inpatient facilities, mobile crisis teams, and community-based programs to ensure continuity of care.
• Support staff development through coaching, performance evaluations, and training on best practices in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.
• Manage staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and compliance with labor agreements.
• Provide staff support to county-wide suicide prevention efforts.
• Support stakeholder participation events and activities.
• Gather and analyze date, write reports, and correspondence.
• Facilitate linkage between community-based organization and mental health care.
• Support mandated systems transformation between Mental Health Services Act and Behavioral Health Services Act.
• Conduct program and fiscal review.

Minimum Qualifications

Licenses Required:

1) Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicles Operator's License. Out of state valid motor vehicle operator's license will be accepted during the application process.

2) Possession of one of the following professional required licenses. Either:

a. A valid license issued by the State of California, Board of Behavioral Sciences as a:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC); or

b. A valid license as a Psychologist issued by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Psychology.

Applicants are required to attach a copy of their license to their application.

3) Education: Possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major in psychology, social work, counseling or a closely related field.

4) Experience: Two (2) years of full-time post-licensure experience, or its equivalent, providing direct treatment services to mental health clients.

Selection Process

Training & Experience Evaluation: Candidates who clearly demonstrate that they possess the minimum qualifications will have their training and experience evaluated. The responses to the supplemental questions, at the time of filing, will be evaluated to determine each candidate's relevant education, training, and/or experience as presented on the application and supplemental questionnaire. (Weighted 100%)

The Human Resources Department may change the examination steps noted above in accordance with the Personnel Management Regulations and accepted selection practices.

CONVICTION HISTORY

DISASTER SERVICE WORKER
